Company Information

Following the death of Liveras Yachts founder, Andreas Liveras, late November 2008, the company has appointed new directors, Simon Groom and John Pickles to assume control of the company and the day-to-day running of the business has been revised.

Dion Liveras and Kyri Kyriacou become full-time consultants and have re-defined their roles within the company. They visit Monte Carlo regularly and will provide advice on commerce and marketing as well as financial controls. The staff based at the Monaco office continues as before.

What has not changed is the Liveras Yachts unique approach to yacht charter, luxurious vessels, sound business practices and emphasis on impeccable service. However, it is not content simply to rest on its laurels and is constantly striving to improve.

Liveras Yachts have been owners and charterers of luxury yachts for almost 25 years. Andreas Liveras started the business with one 25-metre yacht and has owned 13 luxury yachts over the years. Currently Liveras Yachts operates p/v Alysia 85.3m (280’), built in 2006 to SOLAS classification and accommodating up to 36 guests in sumptuous surroundings and p/v Lauren L 90m (296’), built in 2002 to SOLAS classification, refitted in 2004 and most recently in 2008 and accommodating up to 40 guests.

“Alysia” includes; a Health and Beauty Centre with space for relaxation around a marble faced Roman bath, saunas, steam rooms, cold plunge pools, Jacuzzis, a beauty salon with Cleopatra baths, Thalassotherapy beds and massage facilities. A gymnasium that is fully equipped with a treadmill, rowing machine, weights and a cycling machine. Other facilities include a cinema, library, crèche, a Jacuzzi on the Sun deck, four large tenders and a helicopter landing pad. Not only is she one of the most luxurious charter yacht in the world, she is one of the most expensive at a rate of €99,500 per day, €696,500 per week plus all expenses (food, drinks, fuel etc.).

“Lauren L” includes a Health and Beauty Centre with an aquarium in the relaxation saloon, sauna, steam room, a beauty salon and a fully equipped gymnasium. A Conference Centre seating 17 around a Mahogany table with a 50 inch plasma flat screen multi media TV System with multi function panel for internet video conferences. A library with computer internet access and a comprehensive selection of books. All suites have permanent computer internet access. Separate dining areas, one seating 12 persons and the other 50 persons. Other facilities include, outside dining area, open bar areas, sun deck with Jacuzzi, four large tenders and a helicopter landing pad and charters at a rate of €110,000 per day, €770,000 per week plus all expenses.

This departure into “superyachts” is an example of the creative business flair of the company. The management team realised that there was a growing need for luxury vessels that could accommodate more than 12 - 18 people and set about exploring if a business opportunity existed. They decided there was and commissioned a new fleet years ahead of any competition.

A business-like approach

Of course the business has never lost its personal touch, so critical in this market. Senior members of the management team are always on hand to discuss a client’s requirements or to make themselves available to brokers to discuss specific client needs.

Liveras Yachts is not a typical yacht owner; their yachts operate as a business and not purely for pleasure. Their yachts are not just private yachts made available for occasional charter; they are available 365 days a year. When you consider their multi million-dollar annual turnover you begin to understand that their business ethic is unique.

Their principal secret of success has been understanding that the business is service orientated; every member of crew up to the most senior management executive understands this.

Liveras Yachts like to employ experienced crewmembers from Bulgaria, China, England, France, Greece, Italy, India, Romania, Spain, Ukraine and The Philippines. In total they employ over 80 personnel.

What’s on offer?

Liveras Yachts offer their clients the finest luxury yachts afloat with hand picked crews devoted to satisfy even the most discerning tastes, whether you wish to savour the sophistication of the Mediterranean, discover the Caribbean or experience the remote and exotic beauty of the Indian Ocean.

Alternatively, there is no better way to conduct that crucial business meeting, team building or corporate scheme than from the decks of a yacht. The experience of a charter offers sumptuous accommodation, the finest cuisine and the most elegant and efficient service imaginable. An experience that is unforgettable.

What makes the Liveras Yacht fleet unique in the charter industry is that it comprises yachts that are fitted and maintained to private ownership standards. Charterers perceive, quite correctly, that they are embarking on vessels that are truly “private” in the sense that they are exclusive and maintained by people who look after the vessels individually and not merely as part of a corporate fleet.
